Is it required to sign up online prior to coming to class?
It is not required but it is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. When you are signed up we can contact you if needed. Life happens and we’re outdoors. Sometimes we have to cancel classes when we can’t find subs or due to inclement weather. If you are signed up we will text you to let you know of any class cancelations.
If it’s my first time coming to class, what time should I arrive?
If you are NEW and coming for the first time we ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your first class. We’d love to show you around and give you a lay of the land before class!
What should I bring for class?
A mat, comfy clothing dressed for the seasonal outdoor climate (swimsuit or yoga gear, to hoodies and sweats), and some water. And a wallet for yummy food & drinks from the Float In or Hacienda Del Rio.
What should I bring if I plan on getting in the river?
Swimsuit or clothes you’re okay with getting wet, river shoes (or at least Crocs, flip flops, etc.), as there are sharp rocks and items down there and we want to protect our feet! Bring a towel and lots of fun! Goggles are always fun too when the water is clear. Exploring below and above water is for all ages!!
***Pro-tip for colder months: bring a robe straight from the dryer, keep it warm in a cooler, and enjoy that expert post-plunge comfort!
I don't want to take class, can I just get a TRC Day Pass??
Yes! Day Passes are $30, regardless of whether you’re taking a class or not. Please feel free to come swim, sit on the river’s edge, meditate or read, or bring your laptop to create a workspace for yourself. Come enjoy the properties and river as you see fit!
To book at DAY PASS head to our LIVE SCHEDULE and purchase the Day Pass there on the selected day you would like to come!
Anything I should keep in mind during class?
You are the best advocate for yourself. Listen to YOUR body. You are never required to do everything the teacher is guiding you through. You always have the freedom and autonomy to move in ways that feel good for you, and to take rests as needed (water breaks are great too!)Be open to the story your body is communicating. So leave all expectations of our physicality at the door so you are open to the beauty of what your body CAN do
What if I'm going to be late for class?
No problem at all! Come on in! When you get here we ask that you quietly join the group!
***And remember! If you miss class or are too late, just enjoy the properties and time on the river! Then catch us at the next class!
I’ve never done yoga or a group class before, what should I expect?
Expect to move, breathe, sweat, and most importantly, connect. To yourself, to your neighbor, and your teacher.
Class Description:
All Levels Yoga & Movement Flow: This is your riverfront reset—movement, breath, and presence in nature. Whether you’re new to yoga or have years of practice, this class is designed to meet you where you are. Expect mobility, core, strengthening and rhythmic flow under the open sky, guided by teachers who support all bodies and all experience levels. If you’ve got advanced moves, go for it! If you’re here to just breathe and sway, beautiful. As part of your class purchase, you also receive access to our riverfront space during session hours—come early, stay after, journal, connect, or simply sit by the water and soak it all in. This is more than just movement—it’s a return to nature, rhythm, and community. Children are welcome with supervision; please position yourselves mindfully to support the collective energy. Come as you are. The river is waiting. (((If you’re river plunging after class we say wear the suit to do class in!)))
Is there childwatch available?
No, unfortunately, at this time it is not.
BUT, all classes are kid friendly. The Float In property has a great kid-friendly section for Mamas and Caregivers to take class and their kids can play in a contained area near by.
CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES.
Are there lifeguards on duty??
NO! Swim at your own risk!
Seasonally, NB Parks & Rec will have lifeguards on the other side of the Comal River at our Float In location starting at 10am, they are focused on the Famous Tube Chute and not affiliated with Float In or Tejas River Club.
Will there be mat rentals available?
Not at this time! B.Y.O.Mat!

Can I bring my own music?
No, thank you! We ask that this space, during the hours of 8-10, are reserved for the sounds of community and Mother Nature!
Are children welcome?
Yes! It’s a HUGE GOAL of ours to empower families to get to the river! All we ask is that you supervise them. They are 100% your responsibility when on the property. There are no lifeguards on duty, so swim at your own risk. For our Float In location, please make sure they are not sitting in any of the Float In Cabanas, running, screaming, or causing disruption on or to the property.
For the summer! What if I want to stay @ Float In past 10AM?
If Float In is open you’re welcome to! You’d just need to pay the Float-In’s Day Pass fee, which would be discounted to a daily fee $14.99 as a Tejas River Club Member – they offer their own membership options as well.
What if it’s raining or bad weather is to be expected?
We keep the schedule up to date in real time. If the class gets canceled, it will update there first! If you were signed up ahead of time for the class and have your Walla (Our Software) notifications turned on, then you will get an email saying the class was canceled.
Why is this a morning-only experience? (FOR NOW ~ Stay tuned for 2026)
New Braunfels, TX has very few intentional morning spaces—especially by the rivers. Tejas River Club was created to offer time in nature, wellness, and connection before the city wakes up.
We are the ONLY RIVER CLUB in the state of Tejas and maybe the Nation! If you find another one, let us know 😉
New days, times, and locations being added for 2026! Evenings & weekends will SOON be available!
Are dogs welcome?
Absolutely! We love having your four-legged friends join the fun. Feel free to bring them along as you soak up the peaceful vibes by the river—just make sure they’re on a leash and ready for some chill time!
Any dogs showing aggressive behavior will be asked to leave. Always pick up after your pet too!
Anything else I should know about the Float In property on the Comal River?
When visiting Tejas River Club @ Float In we have a few tips and tricks to help best you enjoy your experience and to keep you the safest possible.
When walking down the stairs to the Comal River, a few things to note!
To the far RIGHT are stairs and calm waters ankle/knee deep, perfect for children:
- This is a great spot to enter the river with out strong currents. Kiddos love this spot to explore with nets, and buckets and everyone loves to swim freely here too!
- Always hold the railing when going down the stairs as the river tends to make them slippery with algae at times.
To the LEFT is the Famous New Braunfels Tube Shoot:
- If you’re swimming near the Tube Chute, know that the current gets very strong and fast as it funnels through the concrete. It can pull you quickly and catch you off guard if you’re not expecting it.
- Right below the chute, the water creates swirls, dips, and undercurrents that can tug at your legs or make it feel harder to swim. Weak swimmers should avoid this area.
- Never try to swim into the chute itself — it’s designed for tubers, not swimmers. And if you’re in the water near the chute, it’s best to stay to the sides where the current is calmer.
- If you feel pulled or tired, flip onto your back, float, and move toward the edges. That’s where the water slows down and it’s safest to rest or get out.
